Matt's Big Breakfast

Since the kids are on Winter Break, we decided to FINALLY try a local breakfast spot.  We went during the week, hoping to avoid the crowds.  We got there around 8am and were able to be seated immediately.




Matt's Big Breakfast is located in downtown Phoenix in this tiny building.  While the wait can be long at times, the atmosphere is cozy, almost like you are sitting in Matt's dining room.  What is special about Matt is that all of his food is local.  His ingredients are fresh every morning and the local food is tasty.




B loves breakfast ALMOST as much as his Dad.  He ordered the pancakes and while he enjoyed them, he couldn't come close to finishing them.  So I had a few bites.  :)




Please note the GIANT cup of fresh apple cider that E is drinking.  He sucked that down in about one minute and as a result, did not want to eat the oatmeal he ordered because, "he was full."

I really enjoyed the "Hog and Chick" I ordered.  The eggs were tasty and the hash browns were totally awesome.  I am usually not a hash brown fan, but I could eat those every day.

We will most definitely be returning to this little joint.  Next time we will avoid the apple cider until after breakfast and perhaps The Peach can enjoy something as well.
