After listening to The Peach whine and frustrated that she wasn't sleeping during her usual nap times, it finally occurred to me that her ears might hurt. A good friend who happens to be a nurse offered to take a peek in her ears much sooner than I could have gotten an appointment with the doctor. It turns out the poor girl had been suffering from not one, but two ear infections.
Not able to get to the doctor until the next day I was staring down a sleepless night until I remembered a home remedy that a friend had told me about. Warm olive oil drops into the ear are supposed to be very soothing. I didn't have anything to lose, so I gave it a shot.
Amazing! After the drops were in she had instant relief. She smelled like a salad, but she wasn't crying and she was able to lay down and go to sleep. So, if you are looking for some relief, give it a shot. It worked for us that night, it might work for you, too!
