Today the boys start Summer Camp, and they couldn't have been more excited. I am pretty excited, too, because from 8:30 until Noon it is relatively quiet in my house. This year, we decided to try out Hubbard Sports Camp. If you are living in the Greater Phoenix Area and have small children, you have probably heard of (or take lessons at) their Swim School. Last year the boys heard (through the grapevine of course) that they could learn Archery if they were at Hubbard. That was all they needed to hear to seal the deal.
I was looking for a new summer activity, anyway, since last year E got kicked out of the swimming portion because he screamed during the lesson. It turns out he DID NOT like what the instructors were making him try. I guess he is really partial to the swim instructors at Hubbard Family Swim School. I am really pleased with the swim school and the progress that the boys have made. I had also heard rave reviews about the Summer Camp from many different parents. Picking the Sports Camp as their summer activity was easy. Yes, the camp is costly. But, I thought we would give it a try given all of the positive press.
I will be back with a full report from the boys, soon. I am just hoping that they make some new friends, enjoy their counselors and coaches, and have a ton of fun. That is money well spent in my book.
