Legos are the toys that rule this house. The boys have a HUGE drawer in their room entirely dedicated to Legos. They have another drawer that holds all of the instruction booklets, too. Ever since The Peach has shown interest in their toys, I decided that the items she can choke on will be in the boys' room behind a closed door if need be. But they still manage to escape their room and usually end up underneath my foot (or in the baby's mouth).
What I find most entertaining about the boys' fascination with Legos is that they are MORE interested in the mini figures than the sets themselves. When they get a new set, they immediately open up the bags that hold the little people. E would be happy if he just had those. Another thing I find interesting is that after the new set is built, it eventually gets destroyed and never built again. Just the other day E pulled out an instruction book from his drawer and said, "Mom, can you buy me this?" I said, "You already have that! Go dig for the pieces." E's response was, "Awwww, I'll never find them. There are too many pieces in that drawer."
Maybe we should thin it out, you know, cull some pieces. Perhaps I might not step on as many. E didn't think that was a good idea.
