Tonight, I am attending the Arizona State vs University of Arizona game. This game is known around these parts as the Territorial Cup. This year, the game will be held in Tempe AND my parents are conveniently out of town. So, my sister and I snatched up their seats and are planning on having a great time.
Here's the thing. I am a U of A grad. My sis is an ASU grad. My PARENTS are ASU grads. Fortunately, my husband is also a UA grad, so I am not all alone here. My mother fondly reminds me of the day when I told her I would ALWAYS be an ASU fan, even though I was going to attend the UA. Will I be rooting for ASU tomorrow? No. Will U of A get their butts handed to them on the field? Probably. But I will be there supporting the team in my bright red hoodie surrounded by a sea of black. Because it is fun and because somewhere along the way, I turned into a Wildcat.
