Oh Miss Peach, you turn two today and, as usual, I am wondering where those two years went. I feel like just yesterday you were a teeny baby. Now you are turning into a little girl. You bring so much joy and delight to our home. You are always happy and a bad mood can easily be fixed by your lovey and a bottle of bubbles. Here are a few of the things we have been loving about you lately...
You love shoes. All kinds. It doesn't matter how big (or small) they are. You will try to put them on and when you succeed, you immediately want to go outside.
Speaking of outside, you would live in the backyard if we let you. And you would slide down that slide all day long.
You think your brothers are amazing. You really like to be where they are and when they lock you out of their room because they are working on Legos, you get real sad. However, Bubba makes it up to you by light saber fighting with you.
One of your favorite things to do is watch me get ready. You love to have lotion put on and chapstick, too! In fact, I gave you your own tube and you happily put it on your lips any chance you get.
If I ask you if you want to take a bath, you would strip down naked on the spot if you could. You love to get clean and you love all of the rituals that go along with that. Except diaper cream. You HATE that.
I think you are getting interested in the potty. I can tell because I find you standing next to the toilet holding your shirt up. I think you watch your brothers pee.
You are gaining much more confidence in your speech. Just the other night you desperately tried to say "apple" and it was awesome because I understood you.
You really like it when your brothers kiss you when we are dropping them off for school. You get the biggest smile on your face.
You go simply bananas for bubbles. In fact, you say "bubble" so clearly it makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
You prefer to have an entire apple, instead of one that is cut into slices.
You are such an amazing napper and sleeper. At night, after we do our story and sing our song, you lay right down and say, "night-night." Not a peep from you all night. Even in the morning, you lay in your bed quietly until I come to get you.
You remind me when I forget to turn lights off and you LOVE to clean. If you are able to sneak a diaper wipe, you will wipe all of the surfaces in the house. With complete joy.
Stools are one of your favorite things. Especially because they allow you to get up to the sink and wash your hands.
When I say, "Pillsbury" and push on your belly button, I taught you how to say, "hee-hee." Now you do it all on your own. I will hear you say. "hee-hee, hee-hee" and find you pushing on your own belly button.
You love to be read to. If I read to you all day long, you would be one content little girl.
It is a complete pleasure to be your mother Miss Peach. I can't wait to see what this year brings for you. Happy 2nd birthday, little girl. I love you oh so much.
