New Year's Resolutions?

I am about 20 pages away from finishing Dave Ramsey's The Total Money Makeover and I just had to share it with you!  Honestly, after reading this book I wish I had read it the year I got married.  My husband and I aren't terribly in debt.  We have our car payments and our mortgage.  But after reading this book, we were able to come up with a plan to pay off all of our debt (not including the mortgage) and start building wealth.  If you haven't read this book, or any of his other books, pick it up and give it a read.  It is a quick read, it took me about 2 days.  And that is WITH three kids to take care of!  Even if you think you are in a pretty good place, financially, you may learn something.
So, as far as New Year's Resolutions go, I have never been a big believer in them because I feel that any time is a good time for a resolution, or goal, as I prefer.  I am all for setting goals.  So, my goal for this year is to get our debt paid off, start making regular contributions to our kid's college funds, and start hacking away at our mortgage.  I am pretty excited about not having payments.  NO PAYMENTS!!!  Using that money to put towards savings is very exciting to me.

In other resolution news, I have decided to grow my hair out for an entire year.  I have very short hair, so this should be interesting.  Perhaps I will post pictures.  It probably won't be pretty.  I am also considering the GAPS 30 day challenge.  I have been reading a lot about intestinal health and healing and I think that 30 days on the GAPS diet could do my body good.  It starts January 15th.  I am still thinking about it.

What about you?  Are you a fan of resolutions?
